Gray and White and Gray
Gray and white and gray;
Snow and sky and endless snow.
I'm ready for Spring.
Time of great focus;
Shiny patches, solid clear
Knock you on your ass.
A fire place chimney
Surrounded by icicles.
No room for the heat.
A sorrowful look
Has no words to go with it.
She lets me pet her.
The shelf life of snow
Is short, pristine, virginal:
Then it's debauched gray.
Snow baby on swing
Seems to be going nowhere.
(Hasn't learned to pump).
The old stump buddies
Have lost their way under snow.
They'll return in Spring.
Like a ghostly bat,
Milkweed husk with nimbus seeds
At abandoned shack.
