This Gentle Spring Day

 From walks of April 11-12,  2017

Day of the full moon;
Full into Springtime and warmth;
Full into blessing.

All of the birds are full;
They don't go near my feeder;
(Except the blue jay).

Collette says hello;
Pokes her head out of the fence
To give me a wet kiss.

Forest sings loudly,
Above the gently chirping
Of solitary birds.

Black swan in a tree--
Shadowed silhouette near pond.
(Or is it a goose?)

There is no more snow;
Even the woods have forgot
The taste of winter.

Many travelers
On this sunny singing day;
This gentle Spring day.

A crazy free plate
From a dead former neighbor
(As crazy as her plate).

Like an old couple--
Ma and Pa cardinal sitting
On branch together.

New burst of yellow:
My forsythia has bloomed
All over the bush.
