Monkey in Middle

Daylight is different--
Now, sun is shouting "awake"!
And flowers answer.

Lilac buds are green;
Evergreens wave in the breeze;
I am home again.

Wind chimes on my porch
Sing softly as I walk out;
They murmur again.

Dandelion blooms
At the entrance to my path;
(Unasked for herald).

Pungent smell of tar;
Thick black line runs down the road;
Road crew is at work.

Hands clutching a doll,
She's on a table reading;
It's school time again!

It's still holding on--
This dead leaf from two seasons.
Why won't it let go?

Between tree shadows
Small purple flowers spring up--
Fairy flower bed.

Monkey in middle:
Isaac's shoe is still aloft;
(While he's on the ground).
