In the Forest Sea

Solitary bird
Chirps loud and incessantly
I am eavesdropping.

Suddenly the sun
Disappears behind the clouds.
Are weathermen right?

 Table in the woods;
Attentive kids sit around,
Learning how to fly.

Cool wind up the road
Ruffles my hair and the trees;
Leaves shadows alone.

A bower of leaves
Closes over the swift stream
Embracing its sound.

Delicate petals
Form soft cerulean waves
In the forest sea.

Bend in the road is fixed;
Yet it changes every day.
(Too many questions.)

The road is silent;
Even the tree songs are mute.
Clouds caress the sun.
