Hawks Glide In The Sky

Will it rain or snow?
Air is pregnant with moisture;
Precipitation.

A dull red ribbon,
Visible through the bushes
Signifies nothing.

An honored soldier:
Telephone pole tells story
In insignia.

Birds in the bushes
Flutter to thin branches,
Then freeze like statues.

Ice barrier's back,
Hanging over the swift stream.
Hawks glide in the sky.

Map of Florida
Etched in the receding snow;

(Or is it rabbit?)

Bouquet of roses
Strewn in the dirty snow bank.
(It's the thought that counts).

Mirrors of the sky
Wind by the side of the road,
Flowing with purpose.
