Full Moon in Virgo

Full moon in Virgo;
Edge of the Spring Equinox.
How will the world look?

Distant tree limbs bow;
All I hear is my furnace.
Time to go outside.

Rustle in the bush,
Then a quick flicker of red--
A cardinal has come.

Stream runs swift and loud
Under the layered gray sky;
Bursts of bird chatter.

Between two seasons
Snow and green on magic lawn.
Cars go zipping by.

In the dim morning
Log seems to lie more still
Like holding its breath.

My shadow appears,
A burst of sun behind me.
Then I fade away.

Old tree stumps live on;
Some reach out, some nurture plants,
Some melt into earth.
