(Who is Watching Whom?)

From walk of Thursday, May 17, 2018

Gray skies, achy bones;
New sandals provoke courage--
I am out the door.

Yesterday's rainfall
Still hangs misty in the air;
Breeze shakes the feeder.

The highest lilacs
Are the ones that bloom the first:
Closer to the sun.

With her head shaking
Collette tries to rid the flies.
(I know how she feels.)

Framed by the swing set
Chickens peck in the front lawn.
Food is everywhere.

Up through the pavement
Tiny new green leaves emerge:
Victory of life!

Seems like he's sleeping:
Chipmunk lies at the roadside:
Death's relaxation.

As I look at her
She carefully studies me.
(Who is watching whom?)
