With Shadowed Asymmetry

Branches in the sun
Bow gently in the soft breeze
Waving their white blooms.

Socks draped on the porch
Soaking up the morning sun;
Silent wind chime sways.

A soft cloud of white
Billowing on my front lawn
Arrives every Spring.

On the topmost branch
Black bird lands and starts to sing
Creaky little song.

Forest is whistling
High pitched toneless frequency;
Does no one hear it?

Garland of flowers
Suspended from the tree top
Like small cotton balls.

A whole new meaning
Standing proud in front of me:
Pleasant horse's ass!

Short hop from the road
All that's there is the woods
And the warning crow.

Road side stack of wood
With shadowed asymmetry--
Casual sculpture.
