Waiting For a Kiss
Suddenly sun's gone;
Thick grayness comes in its place;
Soon the rain will fall.
There are no shadows;
Still the daisies shine brightly
And the clover glows.
Deep purple flowers
Appear in glowing clusters
As if floated down.
Flowers still growing
Over the bench no empty;
Their owner has gone.
A bright pointed star;
Yellow flower waves gently:
"Hey, just look at me."
Shadows reappear,
Etching the road and tree trunks;
Then they fade away.
My friend the kitty
Rolls over and lets me scratch.
Please don't follow me.
Waiting for a kiss
Poppers hang with petals pursed.
Who will be lucky?
