As Soft As A Lullaby
Even in the house
There's a strong breath of sunshine
Weaving the shadows.
Which is the brighter,
The rays of the morning sun
Or the new daisies?
Hanging over stream,
New billowing white flowers;
Sound of humming bee.
Shadow dappled road;
Sweet smells float from the forest;
A warm June morning.
Stepping into shade
I find a sudden coolness.
Lone bird keeps chirping.
Warble in the woods
As soft as a lullaby
Trills across the road.
The daisies that grow
On shady side of the road
Bring the sun with them.
I am not alone
Enjoying the gentle sun;
So do the damned bugs.
