Fleeting Illusions
Striped fat bumblebee
Floats lightly over flowers
Under a gray sky.
Nestled in the grass
Yellow and blue side by side;
They do not compete.
Yellow, all yellow--
Legions of dandelions
Take over the field.
Flutter in the woods--
Movement near the dead brown leaves:
Invisible bird.
Soft blue gray silence;
Sun is hiding behind clouds,
Popping in and out.
Against giant tree
Miniature forest grows;
(Only time will tell).
Hiding in the woods
Small blue flowers catch my eyes.
Fleeting illusions.
Moments before rain
Air is soft, warm and still;
Birds chirp endlessly.

The crazy white dog is a she; her name is Pita (and, yes, it stands for THAT). She doesn't want anything; she just likes to bark! Unless she is trying to show you her toy, and then she is quite persistent. If you happen to find the small orange monster that you were glad was in jail, could you please contact Pita as she misses her favorite toy immensely? She doesn't know what to do without her dinosaur! By the way, window dog only liked to be outside for a few minutes at a time - I promise I didn't trap her in the house :-).
I enjoy your posts, by the way, and I didn't realize we were so popular (unpopular?) on the block!
