Anchored in the Dew

Familiar sun glows
Through the bright translucent leaves--
First time, forever.

Leaves are falling slow,
Not stopping for the sunlight
Which pours right through them.

Anchored in the dew
Spider web traverses the rail
Jailing the rain drops.

Greeting the bright day
Two cows stand in the doorway
Thinking their cow thoughts.

Clover/chicory
Stand at the edge of the road--
Gentle guardians.

Miniature flowers
Stand amid the tiny plants--
A small universe.

In a patch of sun
A white plant becomes whiter;
Light begets more light.

Gentle breezes blow
And dead fallen leaves respond
With their dry road dance.
