Mysterious Bends (Walk of April 3)

Past a distant fence
Form of a person passing;
Then it's all the past.

Rhododendrons shake,
Delicately in the breeze.
Their time's not far off.

Rooster gathers the hens;
They all run away from me,
Save one unperturbed.

The broken ladder
Has become piece of found art:
"Wood Steps Reclining."

The shadows are back--
And with them comes the sunshine:
Buddies forever!

Mysterious bends,
More mystery in sunshine
And dappled shadows.

Last Spring's milkweed pods,
Now husks in the bright sunlight.
(The sun doesn't care).

Outdoor lawn party
Excluding all of the guests
(And all of the lawn.)
