Purple guests have come,
On my lawn and lilac bush--
Royal color rules.
Shifting light of May--
Sunshine followed by gray mist,
Then sunshine again.
Next to the pine cones
Dandelions are Springing--
Seasons side by side.
Forsythia blooms
Fall gently to the ground.
Their season's over.
White and purple blooms
Both flower together--
A new Spring bouquet.
Bending to the ground
Three trees continue to thrive:
Tree survival skills!
When did it fall down
Ancient upended boulder?
Million? Thousand years?
Used dental floss stick
Lies by the side of the road.
