It's the lilac's turn,
Green buds looking at the sun--
Summer has skipped Spring.
Two birds carousing;
A bicyclist warbles by;
The trees are singing.
Snake plant on the porch
Seems happier than inside;
(Or maybe it's me.)
Dead log is screaming
Its many mouths opening
To a morning shout.
Diving to the pond
Wild geese couple lands and bobs;
Above, a hawk swoops.
Puff clouds fly above;
Flowers and trees sit below;
Me in the middle.
Pressed against the sky
Top forsythia flower
Keeps on going up.
Rumpled daffodil
Leaning against a tree trunk
Growing all alone.
